Where it is

Downtown Boca's front yard

The Golden Triangle is the residential neighborhood on the east side of downtown Boca Raton. It runs from Federal Highway and Mizner Park east to the Intracoastal Waterway, and from Palmetto Park Road north, narrowing as Federal Highway angles toward the water, which gives the area its name.

Mizner Park and Royal Palm Place

Mizner Park is Boca Raton's open-air center for dining and shopping, home to the Boca Raton Museum of Art and the Mizner Park Amphitheater, which hosts concerts and festivals through the season. Royal Palm Place, just south across Palmetto Park Road, adds more restaurants, galleries and boutiques.

The water

Golden Harbour and the NE 5th Avenue estates sit on the Intracoastal Waterway, and the Boca Raton Inlet connects it to the Atlantic a short cruise to the south. Across the Palmetto Park Road bridge are South Beach Park and Red Reef Park, along with the Gumbo Limbo Nature Center.

Getting around

Brightline's Boca Raton station on the west side of downtown connects to Miami, Fort Lauderdale, West Palm Beach and Orlando. Boca Raton Airport handles private aviation, and Fort Lauderdale and Palm Beach International airports are each roughly a 30 to 40 minute drive, depending on traffic.

The homes

Most homes are single-family residences on lots that are generous for a downtown, from original mid-century ranch homes to new custom construction. Waterfront homes are concentrated in Golden Harbour and along NE 5th Avenue. See the six enclaves, or the last 12 months of sales.
